Please read these terms carefully before using MyOwnPA. By registering for or using the service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
MyOwnPA is an AI-powered personal assistant that operates via WhatsApp. The Service allows Users to manage tasks, calendar events, contacts, expenses, emails and other business functions through voice notes and text messages.
To use MyOwnPA you must register with a valid WhatsApp number, full name and email address. You must be at least 18 years of age to register. By registering you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and complete.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs through your WhatsApp number in connection with the Service. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
MyOwnPA is offered on a monthly subscription basis. Current pricing is displayed on our website at myownpa.app. All prices are quoted inclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Payment is processed securely via Stripe. By providing payment details you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis.
Where a free trial is offered, no payment is required during the trial period. At the end of the trial your subscription will commence automatically unless you cancel before the trial expires.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months.
To ensure the platform remains reliable and cost-effective for all Users, the following usage limits apply:
If you reach a daily limit, the Service will notify you and resume at midnight. If you consistently require higher usage, please contact us to discuss an appropriate plan.
You agree not to use the Service to:
You retain ownership of all content you submit through the Service. By using the Service, you grant My Own PA (Pty) Ltd a limited licence to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of all content you submit. The Company is not liable for any errors in AI-generated content or actions taken based on your instructions.
All intellectual property rights in the MyOwnPA platform, including the software, branding, website and documentation, are owned by My Own PA (Pty) Ltd. Nothing in these terms grants you any rights in our intellectual property.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of viruses. We do not warrant the accuracy of AI-generated outputs.
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, we disclaim all warranties including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, My Own PA (Pty) Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits or loss of business opportunity.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or the Service shall not exceed the total subscription fees paid by you in the three months preceding the claim.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately and without notice if you breach these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if required to do so by law.
Upon termination you will lose access to the Service and your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and data retention schedule.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via WhatsApp at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
